Hello, and big welcome to the last edition of the year of Word of Mouth.
In December’s issue we’re going to fill you in on our new President, Janet Goodwin, who took over the role a few weeks ago. Ms Goodwin has been a long-running Trustee of the charity so it’s wonderful to have her moving into this role and we are hugely looking forward to working with her more closely over the next two years.
We’re also going to recap November’s Mouth cancer Action Month, which turned out to be our most successful to date. The amount of support and activity that the campaign had during the month was fantastic to see and has undoubtedly had a positive effect on mouth cancer awareness in the United Kingdom.
In this edition, we also cover the new guidelines by NICE which aims to greater empower patients, comment on a new school brushing programme and speak about the new reports about sugar tax.
It wouldn’t be a December issue of Word of Mouth without a festive feature so we’re going to give you a great idea for a stocking filler. Plus, we are also looking for somebody to join our public relations and communications team – more details on page 26.
We hope you enjoy this issue of Word of Mouth and we’ll see you in the new year.
