Spring is most definitely in the air as we head into March, and for everyone at the British Dental Health Foundation that means one thing: National Smile Month is coming.

Our month-long campaign (18 May – 18 June) is now open for registrations. All walks of life are invited to take part, and it’s incredibly easy to do so. All you need is a smile!

We talk to Children’s Food Campaign co-ordinator Malcolm Clark about the problems facing children today and the solutions the campaign are fighting for. Sugary foods and drinks are a hot topic at present, and Malcolm gives us a fantastic insight into the past, present and future of the debate.

The British Dental Health Foundation is also delighted to announce that Seabond has become the latest accreditation customer. Joining more than 150 products, the denture fixative delivers superior hold, comfort and protection for denture wearers across the UK.

This month’s edition takes a closer look at the recent launch of IOHOPI – Improving Oral Health of Older Persons Initiative. The website, built and designed by the Foundation, will hopefully bring about changes to older people.
